I know we are all craving for some delicious desserts every time we come across a good meal, right? The sad thing is most of these desserts like cakes, or cookies are really expensive to make and time consuming, at that.

The happy thing is, there are some desserts which you can make in a jiffy, with a lot more cheaper ingredients, too, but still packing a lot of flavor! Go ahead and give it a try! It is super easy to make and will make your meal times much more fun.

What are Graham Balls?

Graham balls are desserts which are popularized in the Philippines. These are made out of crushed graham crackers, condensed milk, and all-purpose cream.

These are the main ingredients you use for it, with other common but optional ingredients like marshmallows, crushed candies, choco sprinkles or rainbow sprinkles.

Graham crackers—in case you do not know yet—are sweet flavored crackers which are made of graham flour. This is a snack which originated in the United States.

It can be eaten by itself but it is usually made as an ingredient to create other more complex desserts such as graham pound cake, mango graham float, graham polvoron, and cheesecakes, among others.

How to Make Graham Balls

Graham balls are super easy to do! It is almost guaranteed that anyone can make this simple recipe, so let’s start.

A good practice I follow in any recipe is to keep in mind of the goals you want to achieve in the process, so for these scrumptious graham balls, let’s break down the procedure into three main steps: First is to mix the ingredients together except the marshmallows, next is form them into balls, placing the marshmallow at the center of it, and then last is to chill it in the refrigerator.

It is not that important if the crushed grahams are not totally made into fine pieces. If you don’t have any means to crush it using any equipment, it is not a problem. However, if you’re planning to sell the graham balls, it will be more presentable if the overall texture is smoother with finer crushed grahams.

Graham Balls Toppings

You can follow the recipe and serve or sell these graham balls plainly, but if you feel like it’s too dull or too bland for your liking, you can add other sweet ingredients as toppings or coatings of your choice. Some of the common ingredients you can add are:

  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Choco sprinkles
  • Chocolate coated peanuts
  • Small candies

How to Serve and Store Graham Balls

Graham balls are served at room temperature as snacks or as desserts. You can store these in airtight containers in a cool dry place. To prolong the shelf-life, refrigerate for up to 2 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
