Main Ingredients
1headcabbage, leaves separated and boiled
1cupcooking oil, or as needed, for frying
Filling Ingredients
500g(1.1 lbs) ground pork, or ground beef
1pclarge onion, chopped
4clovesgarlic, minced
½cupparsley
2tbspsoy sauce
1tbspoyster sauce, (optional)
1pcegg
salt and pepper, to taste
Batter Ingredients
½cupflour
1cupbreadcrumbs
2pcsegg, beaten
salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, add in all of the filling ingredients. Mix until well-incorporated.
Place the cabbage leaves in a flat working space.
Scoop a part (1 to 2 tbsp) of the ground pork mixture at the bottom center part of the cabbage leaf. Then wrap the mixture, making it into a cabbage roll. Repeat this step for the rest of the ingredients.
Transfer cabbage rolls into a steamer. Steam for 15 minutes. You can cover the steamer lid with a towel to avoid water from dripping.
Add-in the flour, salt and pepper in one bowl. Add-in the beaten eggs in another bowl. And add-in the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
Dip the cabbage rolls into the flour mixture, and then into the eggs, and then into the breadcrumbs. Make sure that it is fully coated.
In a frying pan, pour-in and heat cooking oil over medium heat.
Add-in the cabbage rolls. Deep fry until golden brown.
Transfer to a serving plate or serving tray. Serve and enjoy!
