Ingredients
250g(8.8 oz) tokwa (tofu), cut into 2-inch cubes
¼cupall-purpose flour
2tbspcornstarch
1tspgarlic powder, (optional)
1tsponion powder, (optional)
⅓cupwater
½cupbreadcrumbs
3tbspcooking oil, for frying
salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, add-in the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Mix well and the pour-in the water. Mix until no lumps are seen.
In a separate bowl, add-in the breadcrumbs.
Prepare the tokwa (tofu) nuggets and dip them into the flour mixture, and then into the breadcrumbs. Do it until the nuggets are fully coated.
In a frying pan, pour-in and heat the cooking oil over low to medium heat.
Add-in the tofu nuggets. Cook until both sides are golden brown.
Transfer to a serving plate or serving tray and dry excess oil with paper towels. Serve with a dip of your choice and enjoy!
